Aussie Hoist has had an increase in enquiries about dual-use hoists that can either carry Formwork, Bathroom Pods, or Pods and Formwork Hoists. High-rise construction is now consistently using Bathroom Pods imported or manufactured off-site and vertically lifted into high-rise levels.

These Bathroom Pods can be up to 2.4m wide and 3m long. With this in mind, Aussie Lift and Shift has added an additional External Formwork Hoist from Finan Formworks U.K., which leverages their 18 years of experience in getting Formwork correct and reliable.

Whilst other companies are using large materials hoists made in China (which have little proving in their home country), Aussie has chosen to team with a U.K. company that operates with similar construction attitudes to Australia. The TFL2000 external formwork hoist is 2.7m wide, 4.4m long, and can carry 1.8 tonnes. It can be used as a crane loading deck in addition to its primary function of moving high-rise formwork.

However, an external formwork hoist is not the only way to move formwork and bathroom pods. Aussie Hoist has a wide range of large hoists, which offer capacities up to 5000kg or can also be used to move construction workers, such as the ANKA3000.

These hoists can be independent from the site crane and be self-climbing, such as the TFL2000, or can be assisted with the site crane and trying to move construction workers fast, such as with the fully enclosed ANKA3000.

These large hoists that are founded on the ground can also act as a more economical alternative to site cranes for low-rise construction, because once you no longer need a crane crew and dogman, and finishing trades can load large hoists themselves, there is not only rental, but labour savings possible.
